3 Kids in China? or How to Stick Out More Than We Already Did, Which Was A Lot

3 kids! Our daughter was born this past week and will now the boys will have to fight for attention. While our toddler was the previous center of attention on our outings among the locals, the new baby will steal the limelight away. There is a cultural rule here however that new babys (and their mothers!) should not leave their house until the baby is 100 days old. I'm pretty sure we will violate that, even discounting doctor visits.

It's Only Dirty When It Rains

So a few days ago it rained for 2 days straight. The good thing about rain is that it washes pollen and pollution out of the air. The bad news is that it leaves it on whatever it hits, i.e. the ground, the car, the cat, the dog, you, your ayi. The car is actually dirtier after a rain than before.

Actually, it seems like the air may be getting a little better of late. I'm not reallly sure; I've been preoccupied lately with the upcoming birth of my daughter, our third child. Exciting times and sleepless nights lie ahead.
